Ah, back to school season…The feel of a fresh pair of 7 For All Mankind Jeans, a slight chill in the air, and a whole new season of The Big Silly Trivia Game.

There’s an extra-special energy this time of year in New York City, an exciting reminder that it’s time to LOCK-IN! I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter around “The Great Lock In”, the September-December timeframe where you really press the pedal to the metal. The Big Silly version of this is…two shows per week, pink power-suits + big hair, and an endless supply of one-liners.

But alas, Summer Breaks are important. It’s the time when you get a secret boob-job, or move with your family to Albuquerque and discover your stage talents, securing the lead in a school musical amongst competing in a decathlon.

After wrapping an incredible season in the Spring, we celebrated with a rager at Jean’s, and cheers’d to our new production partners, Embassy Row.

We spent the summer tinkering on how to give our beloved game a makeover, while developing our new long-form interview program, The Big Silly Talk Show!

So please welcome in…The Big Silly Talk Show!

Our first episode of Big Silly Talk is live! Every week, we’ll drop an episode Monday that ties into the weekly theme of our Wednesday night trivia game. We drop little clues on how to get ahead on the game, so make sure you give it a watch if you’re eyeing one of our prizes.

Our first episode of Big Silly Talk features my talented MUA bestie miss Lila Childs, as we discuss all things Back to School (in fictional TV universes).

For the first year of Big Silly Trivia, we played together on Zoom– which in hindsight was a little crazy considering we had thousands of calendar holds on your weeknights for over a year, thank you for your patience.

Now, we’ll be able to play directly on our site, using the password of the week (at the bottom of this issue) and clicking the pink PLAY! button on our site.

How To Play Trivia on Wednesday:

Make sure you’ve signed up here, you’ll receive a text on show day. You’ll need a laptop to play live, and use your phone as your remote. Hop on our site at 9pm ET to play.
Gather your girls…Big Silly is best enjoyed with best friends. Although, shoutout to the B.O.B.S (Boyfriends of Big Silly) who quietly play along next to their queens pretending they’re not intrigued.

Last week, we sprinkled 200 neon pink posters around downtown New York City. Specifically, the paths I know that our players take. One player I envisioned comes across a flyer post-WSH walk, then into the West Village for a coffee, followed by a stroll down Hudson to their office.
